Police make Arrest in Blue Monkey Case
Suspect Confesses
Evington, VA (AP). Police announced the arrest and subsequent confession today of the suspect in this small town's notorious Blue Monkey Case. "The suspect was arrested based on a review of surveillance video. The video clearly shows the suspect attack and carry off the Blue Monkey" stated Evington Police today in a news conference."At this time we consider this case closed".
The suspect, identified only as "Beagle - Sierra" is known throughout this community and has a record of petty larceny and vandalism. "This is a classic case of escalation" states reluctant owner Kelly Linn. "What triggered her to move from stealing neighbors shoes and clothing to this horrific crime is something we'll likely never know".
The Linn's and Sampson have decided to not press charges in the case. "Our vet diagnosed the beagle with having "Cranial Vacuumus", which translates to a total absence of any brain" reports Paul Linn. "She has no idea that what she did was wrong. Hell - she has no idea about anything".
In a touching reunion, Sampson was allowed to visit the recovering Blue Monkey today. "My little buddy seems to be doing pretty good and it meant alot to be able to spend a few moments with him" stated Sampson after his visit. "As for the beagle, there ain't much sense in getting mad. That dog ain't got the brains God gave a warmblood." Sampson also had this message to share with the public: "I was saddened to hear that many suspected me as having committed this crime. For all of those who were so quick to point their fingers at me, I have one thing to say: Come to Woodridge Farm - I'd love to take you for a ride".
